1. Getting Started: Your Workbook and the Journey Ahead
Hello and welcome. I’m really looking forward to working with you over the coming months and supporting you on your journey to becoming a qualified and accredited executive coach.
You should have received — or will very shortly receive — your workbook as part of your pack. I wanted to take a few minutes in this video to walk you through it, so that when we’re together in the training room we can spend as much time as possible actually coaching, rather than talking about paperwork.
I’m recording this from my training venue by the sea today, because this programme really is about helping you navigate the journey ahead — excuse the pun. The workbook is designed to make that journey feel clear, manageable, and far less complicated than you might expect. We’ve done a lot of the thinking for you, so you don’t have to spend your time filling in forms or worrying about assignments.
As I’ll explain, qualifying with us really is very straightforward. If you show up, take part, book your supervision, and do a small amount of reading, everything else will fall into place. Most of the work you need to do happens in the room with us, through practice and real coaching, not at your kitchen table late at night.
This video will help you understand what’s in the workbook, what really matters, and what you don’t need to worry about — so you can relax, enjoy the learning, and focus on becoming the best coach you can be.
